*Watch this video to get a step-by-step explanation of the Beginner’s Prayer >>> https://youtu.be/MWQCb42xKUw

1. Upon waking up, as soon as you open your eyes say aloud “Thank You Olodumare, Thank You Ori for allowing me to see this day.”

2. If you have a shrine sit in front of it to repeat this prayer. If not, find a quiet spot to repeat it.

Iba Olodumare (supreme being)

Iba Ori (head/inner spirit)

Iba Iya (mother)

Iba Baba (father)

Iba Irunmole (primordial beings)

Iba Orisa (deified ancestors/aspects of nature)

Iba Egungun (personal ancestors)

Iba (Name any benevolent ancestors or elders you choose)

*Iba means to pay homage to and the I is pronounced like an E

3. Hold your head with both hands and say a prayer from your heart to your Ori. Ask your Ori to support your destiny and character etc, then recite the following prayer.

Ori guide me 2x's

Ori support me 2x's

Ori support my abundance

Ori support my  future children

Ori support my relationship

Ori protect my house

Ori guide me 3x's

Protector of children, my inner character is thankful

Ase.

*You may also put cool water on your head as an offering while you’re reciting this prayer.

4. If you know your Head/Guardian Orisa you may call on it and say a prayer from your heart at this point.

5. Go about your day with a commitment to following initiation taboos (if you have any) and walking with iwa rere or good character!
